Confirmation
Students in grades 7-9 attend confirmation classes on alternating Sunday evenings after dinner and vespers. Topics covered in confirmation include an overview of the Bible, The Lord's Prayer, the Apostles' Creed, and the sacraments of baptism and communion. Confirmation retreats are also held periodically. The program culminates in the Rite of Affirmation of Baptism on the last Sunday in April.
Youth Group
Youth in grades 7-12 meet on alternating Sunday evenings for learning and fun.
Adult Forum/Adult Study
Adults have two opportunities to hear presentations by experts and to discuss how what they learn applies to them as Christians: Adult Forum in the Great Room at 9:15 during the Christian Education Hour and Adult Study in the Parlor at 6:45 on Sunday evenings. The 2009 Winter/Spring Adult Education schedule is available as a pdf.
Theological Conferences
Luther Memorial has held two conferences in the past few years: one on the life of Dietrich Bonhoeffer in 2006 and one on "Christians and the Use of Violence" in February 2008. Nationally recognized speakers lecture and lead discussions as well as participate in worship.
